This will be a slow process as I am finding the information from old newspapers from the 1940's , or people sending me information. All will be listed in a flat page, when the list gets to large for this I will break them up into a menu.

Chattin, Clifford R. 23 son of Mr and Mrs I. V. Chattin of RT 5 Vincennes IN joined air corp at Chanute field Rantoul Il Sept 9 1940 (note of interest) volunteered--was a Captain in the Air Force and served in the China/Burma/India theatre. It was his job to keep transport and supply planes flying over the hump. He was taken from the farm and sent to Yale for Officers Candidate School. 

Herb Chattin son of Mr. and Mrs. I. V. Chattin of RT 5 Vincennes IN (note of interest) ROTC all through college, entered directly into the military via ROTC, a major in the Air Force--was the first American doctor in Africa--he was in Africa in January 1942 after Pearl Harbor in 1941. He was in charge of setting up military hospitals
