Spanish-American War

1898, brief conflict between Spain and the United States arising out of Spanish policies in Cuba. It was, to a large degree, brought about by the efforts of U.S. expansionists.

Thanks goes to Mark Neice for bringing this forgotten war to my attention, and made me realize that I had forgot to add the Spanish-American war to my Veteran page, and not honored the brave souls who fought there. Like  George Dewey who captured the first Spanish fleet in Philippine Islands, and   Theodore Roosevelt  and  Leonard Wood leaders of  the famous Rough Riders,  and our brave soldiers from Knox county like Marks ancestor Isacc Davis Bryant.
