Loys to mark golden wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Loy, RR3, Portland, will
celebrate their golden wedding anniversary, Sunday, July 13.
Mrs. Loy is the former Carrie May. They were married on July 11, 1925.
They are the parents of three sons and one daughter: Calvin, Donald, and
Ernest Loy and Mrs. Hugh (Alice) Strohl, all of RR 3, Portland. There are
11 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and 1
step-great-grandchild.
The Loys have been lifetime residents of Noble Township, Jay County. He
owned and operated Loys
Sale Barn for many years. He is also a retired auctioneer.
Relatives and friends are invited to a reception Sunday July 13 from 2-4 at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Strohl, RR 3, Portland, county road No. 223.
The couple ask that gifts be omitted.
