Russell “Pete” McAbee, age 78, a resident of Ft. Recovery, Ohio,
passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at The Gardens at Celina in Celina,
Ohio
Pete was born on November 8, 1941, in Jay County, Indiana, and
was raised by his uncle and aunt, Harve and Josie Mae (Landers) Abbott. He
attended Portland High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired
from the Portland Forge in 2006. Pete was a member of Asbury United
Methodist Church in Portland, D.A.V. in Portland and V.F.W. in Coldwater,
Ohio. He married Marna Wilson on August 16, 1964.

(wife Kay) – Ft. Wayne, Indiana

great-grandchildren
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at
10:30 a.m. at I.O.O.F. Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville. Military rites will
be conducted by American Legion Post #211 of Portland.
