Geraldine L. Horn, age 88, a resident of Portland, passed away on Friday,
August 31, 2012 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland. She was a former resident of
Pennville.
Geraldine was born on September 8, 1923 in Flint,
Michigan, the daughter of John W. and Mildred (Schlegel) Bugbee. She is a
member of the Sugar Grove Nazarene Church and a former member of the Union
Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Other member- ships include Penn Township
Home Economics Club and Jackson Nukummers. She married Harold W. Horn on May
19, 1961 and he passed away on January 27, 1990.
Survivors include
two daughters, Roberta R. Horn of Pennville, IN, and Christine L. McDonald
of Marion, IN; one brother, William A. Bugbee (wife-Beverly) of Yale,
Michigan; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation
for Geraldine Horn will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Thursday at the Union
Chapel Church of the Nazarene, 8984 N. 1050 W., Pennville, IN. Funeral
services will follow at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow
in the IOOF Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville. Pastor Jamie McBride, Wilbur
Taylor and Dan Sickles will officiate.
Memorials may be directed
towards the Purdue Cancer Research Endowment Fund in care of the Indiana
Extension Office, Sugar Grove Nazarene Church Building Fund or Union Chapel
Church of the Nazarene.
