CLEDUS J. DUKE, 77, died Tuesday at Portland Community Care Center, East. Born in Canon County, Tenn., he was a World War II Navy veteran and retired from Sheller-Globe Corp. He had also been a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Doris; three sons, Larry of Portland, Jeff of Pennville and Christopher of Indianapolis; three daughters, Linda Shaner of Rossburg, Ohio, and Tina Paxon and Jill Hardin, both of Bryant; five brothers, Bill of Portland, Neil and Herschel, both of Pennville, Jewel of Fort Wayne and Tom of Montpelier; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A son, Danny, preceded him in death.
Services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland. Calling from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Burial at IOOF Cemetery, Pennville. Memorials to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association.
