Donald Lester Schisler, 59, of Pennville, employee of
Sheller Globe Corp for 30 years, and brother of George Schisler of Geneva,
died Tuesday evening at the Clinic hospital in Bluffton.
Born Feb. 16, 1915 in Portland he was the son of Adolph and Rosena
Gick-Schisler. On Sept. 28, 1935, he was married to Virginia Lee, who
survives. He was a member of ht Pennville Friends Church.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Don Schisler of Bluffton; three
daughters, Mrs. Dan (Judy) Daniels of Decatur, Ill., Mrs. James (Joan)
Alberson of route 1, Portland, and Mrs. Kay Twigg of Pennville; two
brothers, John Schisler of Portland, and George Schisler of Geneva; one
sister, Mrs. Bernard Rice of Portland, and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pennville Friends
Church, with Rev. Neil Talley officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills
cemetery, Pennville. Friends may call at the Baird-Freeman funeral home,
Portland, after 3 p.m. today and until 10 a.m. Friday, and then at the
church until time of services.
