Victor Dean McEwen, 82, of Pennville, IN, passed away at 7:50 AM on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor in Dunkirk, IN. He was born on Thursday, May 07, 1936, in Jay County, IN. He married Wanda Austin. Victor was a 1954 graduate of Pennville High School. He was a member of the Pennville Methodist Church. He served his country in the United States Army. Victor worked at Fenters Boneless Beef and retired from Jay County Hwy Dept. He was also a member of the Dunkirk Ralph Burgess American Legion Post # 227, Pennville I.O.O.F and also served on the Cemetery board, Lions Club, Pennville Fire Dept., Indiana Volunteer Firemans Assoc., and the Pennville Twp. Advisory Board. He served on the Jay Blackford 40&8 Voiture. Victor was a Knox Twp. farmer. He had been a Little League coach for many years and was an avid supporter of Jay County sports.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Horace McEwen, and Mother – Eleanor Jane (Current) McEwen.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to service on Saturday September 1, 2018.
A service to celebrate his life will be at Walker & Glancy
Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on September 1, 2018. Interment will follow in the
Twin Hill - I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville, IN.
