   Ralph Lindy James, age 89, a resident of Pennville passed 
	away Thursday July 5, 2018 at his home in Pennville.
   
	Ralph was born January 13, 1929 in Jay County the son of Clarence and Nellie 
	(Hutson) James. He worked at Haynes Mill in Portland, Sheffer-Weinland in 
	Portland for over 20 years and he then retired from Jay County Highway 
	Department. Ralph served in the United States Army during the Korean War 
	where he received a Purple Heart during his service. He was a member of 
	Pennville American Legion Post 482 and Pennville Odd Fellows Lodge.
   
	Ralph married Janice McKillip on June 28, 1953.

Jim James (wife Julie) – Portland, 
	Indiana
2 daughters: Margie Horner (husband Gene) – Pennville, Indiana
	Julie Cull (husband Brad) – Minster, Ohio
1 sister: Betty Clark (husband 
	Wendell) – Beavercreek, Ohio
2 brothers: Bill James (wife Ann) – 
	Portland, Indiana
Jack James (wife Barb) – Portland, Indiana
8 
	grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
He was proceeded in death by his 
	son Kevin James
   Visitation will be held Sunday from 
	1:00pm- 5:00pm at the Pennville Chapel of the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod 
	Funeral Home.
   Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am 
	Monday at the funeral home in Pennville. Burial will follow in the IOOF Twin 
	Hills Cemetery in Pennville with Pastor Mike Harris officiating the service. 
	Portland American Legion Post 211 will be in charge of military rites at the 
	cemetery.
   Memorials may be directed to the Pennville 
	First Responders.
