Lula E. Adair, 99, a former Portland resident, died Friday morning in the Jay County Hospital. She was born in Randolph County on Jan. 26, 1904, as the daughter of Charles and Sarah (Craner) Lawson. She was married to Marvin Adair, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker who attended Noble Christian Church.
Survivors include: four sons, Charles Adair, Donald Adair, Duane Adair and Vernon Adair, all of Portland; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Thelma) Masters, Ft. Recovery; 18 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 11 step-great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild and two step-great-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 10 a.m., in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Jim Wright presiding.
Burial will follow in the Stephenson Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 3 p.m..
Memorials can be made to the Noble Christian Church.
