Funeral Monday
Joseph A. Long, aged 72,
former president of the J. A. Long Company and considered at one time the
largest produce dealer in the United States, died Friday at his farm home in
Madison Township, Jay County. He had been in failing health from paralysis
since last October.
He was born at Warsaw. The greater part of his
life had been spent in Portland and New York City. He is survived by the
widow, one daughter, one granddaughter and one sister.
The funeral
will be Monday at the Baird Chapel at Portland. Burial in the cemetery at
Salamonia.
