JAY COUNTY MAN TAKES OWN LIFE
Portland, June 10 -
Henry
Fuelling, 53, prominent Noble Township farmer, took his own life about 5:30
pm today by hanging himself at his farm eight miles southeast of this city.
The body was found at 7 pm by his son, Lewis Fueling.
When
discovered, the body was hanging by a sash cord from a wall ladderin a hog
house. Fuelling had been in ill health for some time. Jay County Deputy
Coroner George L. Perry and Deputy Sheriff Clyde Kegerreis, who
investigated, said death was caused by strangulation.
Surviving are
the widow, Mrs. Anna Fuelling; two sons, Alfred and Lewis Fuelling at home;
one daughter, Mrs. Esther Cole of Albion; five brothers, John Fuelling of
New Haven, Lewis and Fred Fuelling of near Woodburn, Charles Fuelling of
Harlan and Martin Fuelling of Fort Wayne and three sisters, Mrs. Theodore
Goeglein and Mrs. Roy Hall of near Fort Wayne and Mrs. Amelia Eppameeks of
Monroeville.
The body is at the Williamson Funeral Home here. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm (CST) at the Salamonia Lutheran
Church with Rev. D. R. Honn officiating. Burial will be in Salamonia
Cemetery.
