Salome Young was born in France, May 10, 1794 and was married to Nicholas
Young in
the year 1813, with whom she came to America in 1840.
She
became a member of the Evangelical Association 35 years ago. She departed
this life
September 3, 1887, aged 93 years, 3 months and 23 days. She
leaves 1 daughter, 15
grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren to mourn
their loss.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. I. E. Fisher, at
the Mt. Zion Evangelical Church
in the presence of a large assembly of
relatives and sympathizing friends.
