PORTLAND: Georgianna Fennig, 59, died Friday at Jay County Hospital. She was secretary for Zion Lutheran Church in Portland. Surviving are her husband, William; a son, Dale of Angola; a daughter, Ann Jennings of South Bend; her mother, Erma Russel of Warren; two brothers , Robert Russel and Paul Russel, both of Warren; two grandchildren; and one step grandchild.
Services at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church. Calling from 11 a.m.
to 8 p.m. Sunday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland, and one hour
before services Monday at the church. Burial in Mount Zion Cemetery,
Portland. Memorials to the church’s building fund.

Georgianna Fennig, 59, 127 Rayburn Drive, Portland, died early today at Jay County Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Fennig was secretary for the Zion Lutheran Church in Portland for more than 25 years. She was a member of the church, the Ruth Circle of the ELCW and was past president and member of Gamma Nu Sorority.
Born in Huntington County, she was the daughter of Frank and Erma (Hunt) Russel. She was married May 25, 1952 to William Fennig, who survives. Surviving besides her husband are her mother, Erma Russel, Warren; one son, Dale Fennig, Angola; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Ann) Jennings, South Bend; two brothers, Robert Russel, Montpelier and Paul Russel, Warren; two grandchildren; one step grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are set for 2 pm Monday in the Zion Lutheran Church with the
Rev. Mark Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
