Sister of county resident dies

Mrs. Mabel L. Bash, 69, of Salamonia, died Wednesday night at the Willow Hall Nursing Home in Hartford City following an extended illness.

She was born in Jay County July 15, 1901, a daughter of John W. and Ola Armonstrout-Fifer, and was married to Ernest F. Bash June 30, 1961.

Mrs. Bash was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Robert Price of Portland Route 6, Earl Price of Bohner Lake, Wis., and John Price of Geneva; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Catherine) Wrightsman of Muncie; one sister, Mrs. Ed (Myrtle) Omlor of Decatur Route 2; three brothers, Iven Fifer of Muncie, Homer Fifer of Fort Wayne, and Earl Fifer of Bryant Route 1; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home in Portland, with Rev. Robert Bisel officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of the services.
