Louis Hummel
Funeral services were held at 1:30
p.m. Sunday at the Williamson & Spencer funeral home in Portland for Louis
H. Hummel, 70, of route 2, Portland. He died last Thursday in Jay county.
Mr. Hummel had been employed 23 years for Jay county Farm Bureau Co-Op
and was a fieldman for Naas Food Company, which has plants in Geneva and
Portland.
He was born March 4, 1904 in Jay county, the son of Frank
and Clara Stump-Hummel. He was married April 17, 1927 to Nilah I. Spade, who
survives. He was a member of the Walnut Corner Friends Church in Portland.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, two daughters, two sisters, six
brothers, and 13 grandchildren.
