Roger Evan Wiley, 70, of Huntington, Indiana, passed away on Friday,
April 30, 2021, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Roger
was born on July 23, 1950 in Huntington, Indiana to Basil and Betty (Pulley)
Wiley and was raised by his grandparents, Leo and Devon Pulley on their
farm. He graduated from Huntington High in 1968 and has his bachelor’s
degree from Ball State University. Roger married Ladiana Ralston on August
15, 1971 at Salamonie Church of the Brethren. Roger worked for Farm Bureau
Insurance for 30 years, then finished his career at Insurance Services for
another 6 years. He coached baseball and was known to never miss a sporting
event of his son’s or grandchildren’s. Roger was a member of Mt. Etna United
Methodist Church.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents,
grandparents, and brother, Rex Wiley.
Loving survivors include his
wife of 50 years Ladiana Wiley of Huntington, IN, sons Aaron (Dava Stein)
Wiley of Huntington, IN, Brian (Stacy Wolfe) Wiley of Huntington, IN, and
Doug (Janelle) Wiley of Warren, IN, grandchildren, Jessica Wiley, Trevor
Wiley, Kate Wiley, Addy Wiley, Ian Wiley, and Libby Wiley, and brother Kevin
Hoover of Greenwood, IN.
Friends and family may gather to visit on
Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N.
Matilda Ave. Warren, Indiana from 3PM to 8PM and again on Thursday, May 6,
2021 from 10AM to 11AM. A service to celebrate Roger’s life will begin at
11AM with pastor Mike Gallant officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out
to Mt. Etna United Methodist Church at 6383 W 600 S Huntington, IN 46792.
