Karen J. Johnson, age 74, a resident of Portland, passed away Wednesday
May 6, 2020 at her home in Portland.
Karen was born April 28, 1946
the daughter of Paul and Margaret (Myers) White. She graduated from Portland
High School in 1964 and worked at the Quick Shop in Portland and was
co-owner of Aker Taylor Plumbing in Portland. Karen was a member of the
Portland American Legion Auxiliary and was a past president of Gamma Nu
Sorority. Karen married Donald Johnson on March 31, 1973.

Her husband of 47 years: Donald D. Johnson – Portland,
Indiana
2 daughters: Teresa Taylor (husband Burl) – Portland, Indiana
Debbie Aker (husband Brian) – Portland, Indiana
1 son: Donald D.
Johnson II – Portland, Indiana
1 stepson: Carter Johnson (wife Keri)
– Tucson, Arizona
1 stepdaughter: Valerie Smith (husband Randy) –
Portland, Indiana
1 brother: Gary White – Portland, Indiana

grandchildren and several great-grandchildren
She was preceded in
death by a brother, Jack White and a sister, Bonnie Baumgartner.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00am – 3:00pm at
Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Private graveside
service will follow at Green Park Cemetery in Portland. Pastor Hugh Kelly
will officiate the services.

the Heart Care in Portland.
