Donald W. Sutton, age 78, a resident of Portland passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at his home. He was a 1958 graduate of Portland High School, and joined the United States Marine Corps and served for 6 years. He retired from Teledyne Portland Forge after 40 years. After retirement he also enjoyed woodworking in his shop at home. He was a member of the Portland American Legion Post 211.
Donald was born May 2, 1940 in Portland, Indiana the son of Frank and Dorothy (Shull) Sutton. He was married on February 2, 1963 to Toni DuJardin.

His beloved wife- Toni Sutton, Portland, Indiana
2 Sons- Rocky Sutton (wife Esther), Valparaiso, Indiana
Mitch Sutton
(wife Amy), Portland, Indiana
1 Brother- Randy Sutton (wife Joan),
Celina, Ohio
5 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in
death by a son Jeff Andrew Sutton, 2 brothers Perry Sutton and Robert
Sutton, and a sister Joann Eley.
Visitation will be held from 2 pm-6 pm on Thursday at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 6pm at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Eads officiating the service. Portland American Legion Post 211 will be in charge of military rites at the funeral home. Private burial will follow at a later date at Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Memorials may be directed towards Family Life Care Hospice or the
donors choice.
