Thomas W. Joyner, 82, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 5:30 AM on Sunday,
July 12, 2020 at his home in Geneva, IN. He was born on Thursday, August 26,
1937, in Johnston County, NC. He was the son of the late James “JJ” Joyner
and the late Sadie (Godwin) Joyner. He was the husband of Virginia (Scott)
Joyner. Thomas served his country in the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson between
1955 and 1958. He was a former member of the Valeene Christian Church and
the High St. Methodist Church in Geneva. After serving in the military,
Thomas was a truck driver for many years.
Thomas will be sadly missed
by his Wife - Virginia L Joyner, Geneva, IN., Daughter - Sadie (Tim) Joyner,
Lebanon, IN., Son - James (Cathy) Joyner, North Carolina, Step Son - Chris
(Ginger) Englehardt, Berne, IN., Step Daughter - Kathy (Steve) Conway,
Pickerington, OH., Step Daughter - Janet (Keith) Shauver, Portland, IN.,
Step Son - Dean (Nancy) Englehardt, Pennville, IN., Step Daughter - Karen
(Keith) Harville, Hardinsburg, IN., Step Daughter - Nancy Meier, Geneva,
IN., Brother - Harris Joyner, California, Grandchildren – David, Alyssa
(Rico), Israel, Brian, Eric, Haley, 11 Step Grandchildren, and 2 Great
Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father - James "JJ"
Joyner, Mother - Sadie Joyner, Step Children - Dale & Scott Englehart, and
Several Brothers & Sisters.

and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva
on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
A service to
celebrate his life will be at Downing - Glancy Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on
Friday, July 17, 2020 with Pastor Joe Lampton officiating. Interment will
follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
Arrangements are being
handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
