Clarence Amstutz was born to Christian and Alvina Hanni Amstutz. His marriage September 18, 1958 was to Imogene E. Shively, who died July 25, 1994.
Surviving are two sons, William D. and Robert W., three daughters, Rebeca S. Amstutz, Elizabeth (Robert) Garner and Barbara J. (Burley) Hough Jr., four brothers, Gilbert Franks , Weldon, Raymond and Robert Tracy, a sister, Evelyn Tucker eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He retired from Dunbar Furniture, Berne, Indiana in 1980 and retired from farming in 1991.
Mr. Amstutz was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at Geneva, Indiana.
One grandchild is deceased.
