Ruth H. Yarger, 74, 1307 Massachusetts Ave. Portland died early today at
Jay County Hospital following an extended illness.
She was retired
from the former Cochran Hatchery in Portland after working for many years.
Born May 26, 1919, in Jay County, she was the daughter of James and
Ada (Lambome) Pace. She was first married in 1940 to Floyd Fifer, who died
in 1974. She later married Lou Yarger, and he also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one brother, Melvin Pace, Portland; one sister, Mrs.
Harold (Katherine) Johnson, Marianna, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Baird-Freeman Funeral
Home, Portland, with the Rev. Kris McPherson officiating. Burial will be in
Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
Friends may call at the
funeral home Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of services.
Memorials
may be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
