Rose Wolford age 91, of Portland passed away Tuesday in the Lutheran
Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Portland August 5, 1927 the daughter
of Charles and Mabel (Wilkinson) Hogg. She was married September 6, 1953 to
Meredith Wolford and he died July 30, 1994. She had worked at Jay Garment
and member of Bluff Point Friends Church, Jay County Choir, 1945 Saratoga
High School graduate and loved to sew.
Surviving are one son Merrill
Wolford of Portland, Two brothers John Hogg of Portland and Eddie Hogg of
Portland, One sister Mary Lou Maddox of Portland. She was preceded in death
by a brother Bob Hogg and a sister Lydia Tingley.
Funeral services
will be Saturday at 12:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor
Mike Harris presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in
Bryant. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 – 12:00. Memorials can be
made to the choice of the donor.
