James Pyle age 82, of Indianapolis and Portland native passed away Monday
March 25, 2019 at Forrest Creek Village in Indianapolis. He was born in
Portland December 11, 1936 the son of Marlin and Rita (Shepard) Pyle. He was
married July 5, 1958 to Billie Ann Taylor and she died in 2012. He served
with the US Air Force for twenty years and worked for A&B Robotics for
twelve years. He was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are
one daughter Julie Vanaman of Indianapolis, two sons, Jeff Pyle of
Indianapolis and David Pyle of Indianapolis, one brother, John Pyle of
Portland, two sisters, Judy Matlinowski of Portland and Janice Gingerich of
Albany, two grandchildren, one great grandson, and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Jay and Joe Pyle.
Funeral
services will be Friday March 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Baird-Freeman
Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Walker presiding. Burial will follow in the
Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 – 11:00
AM. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.
