Berthal "Bud" Huey, 74, Midland, Mich., died Friday at
Midland Hospital Center, Midland, following an extended illness.
Born October 15, 1902, in Portland, he was the son of Henry and Maggie
(DeLong) Huey. Huey moved from Portland to Midland in 1923. He retired in
1964 after 33 years of service with Dow Chemical Company in Midland. he was
a member and Past Noble Grand of Midland Odd Fellows Lodge No. 418 and Past
Chief Patriarch of Midland Encampment No. 42. He was also a member of
Midland Church of Christ and the Dow Retirees Club in Midland.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George (Hazel) Spaulding, Freeland, Mich.,
and Mrs. Russell (Mamie) Teeters, Merrill, Mich., one brother, Fred Huey,
Freeland and thirty-two nieces and nephews.
Services
were held at 2 pm today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Midland, Mich., with
Rev. Gerald Fump officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm
Tuesday at Gravel Hill Cemetery, near Bryant.
