Cecil Franklin, 71, retired GE employee, dies Monday morning
Cecil L. Franklin, 71, of route 3, Decatur, a retired General Electric
Co. employee, was dead on arrival at the Adams county memorial hospital
Monday at 10:50 a.m. Mr. Franklin suffered a heart attack.
He was
born in Randolph county on January 11, 1902, the son of Jesse H. and Mary E.
Miller-Franklin, and was married on April 16, 1927, to Lina M. Rayl, who
survives. Other survivors include one son, David L. Franklin, at home; one
sister, Mrs. Albert (Celesta) Cramer of Roanoke; and two brothers, Morris V.
Franklin of Fort Wayne, and Lawrence H. Franklin of Decatur. One son Alan
Lee, and two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be
held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Winteregg-Linn funeral home, with Rev.
Howard Beer officiating. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill cemetery, Bryant.
Friends may call at the Winteregg-Linn funeral home after 7 p.m. tonight.
