Max Flauding age 83 a resident of Gaston, Indiana and a
former Bryant resident passed away Friday at IU Health Ball Memorial
Hospital in Muncie. He was a graduate of Gov. I.P. Gray High School in Jay
County and was a US Navy veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He retired
in 1997 from GM in Muncie after 30 years.
Max was a
member of Geneva VFW, Ridgeville American Legion, UAW 499, and Avondale
Sympathy Club.
He was born March 10, 1935 in Bryant,
Indiana and raised by Lawrence and Nina Flauding. He was married July 3,
1956 to Janet Stump.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Flauding,
and a great grandson Mason Manship
Visitation will be
from 5pm-8pm on Tuesday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in
Portland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am
Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastors Albert and James Reffitt
officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
