Mrs. Velma L. Coon, 68, of Geneva, widow of Ray W. Coon,
died Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at her residence.
She was a
lifelong resident of Adams County and a member of the Berne Church of the
Nazarene and the Geneva Senior Citizens.
She was born
Jan. 19, 1907, in Berne, the daughter of James and Louisa M. Davidson, and
was married to Ray W. Coon, who died in 1964.
Surviving
are two sons, Roger R., Fort Wayne, and Rolland W., route 1, Bryant; one
sister, Mrs. Theodore (Ethel) Alexander, Berne, and one brother, Edward
Davidson, Decatur, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Downing Funeral Home, Geneva,
with Rev. Darwin L. Pressler officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill
Cemetery, Bryant. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
