Ms. Lillie E. Campbell, 85, route 1, Bryant, a native of Adams county, died Sunday morning at Adams county memorial hospital following a brief illness.
Born April 20, 1889, in Adams county, she was the daughter of Daniel and Lucinda Kelly Hiestand. She was united in marriage on Dec. 5. 1907 to Irvin Campbell, who survives.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the United Methodist Church at Bryant.
Surviving besides her husband are four sons, Orla and Harley Campbell of Jay county; Harold Campbell of Winchester, and Norman Campbell of Buena Vista, Colo.; six daughters, Mrs. Roger (Marjorie) Crowell of Tipton; Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Brubaker, Mrs. Alex (Beatrice) Weinberger of Muncie, Mrs. Henry (Jean) Parrish of Fort Wayne; Mrs. Keith (Joan) Stein of route 3, Portland, and Mrs. William (Kay) Gardner of Fort Wayne; one sister, Mrs. Lola Callahan of Wilson, Okla.; 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the
Baird-Freman funeral home, Portland, with Rev. Paul Wohlford officiating.
Burial will follow in Gravel Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral
home after 2 p.m.
