Services are held for Elmer W. Burry
Funeral services for Elmer W.
Burry, 40, of Bluffton, a native of Hartford township, were held at 1:30
p.m. today at the Williamson and Spencer funeral home in Portland, with Rev.
William C. Ingram officiating. Burial followed in Gravel Hill cemetery, west
of Bryant.
Mr. Burry died early Tuesday morning at the Clinic
hospital in Bluffton after an extended illness.
Born March 26, 1933
in Hartford township, Adams county, he was the son of Vilas and Ella
Zimmerman-Burry. On June 2, 1956, he was married to Mandy Lee, who survives.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons and three daughters, David,
Randy, Pamela, and Loretta Burry, all at home; and Mrs. Larry (Linda)
Syzmore, Marion; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vilas Burry, Pennville; one
brother, Eugene Burry, route 1, Geneva; three sisters, Mrs. Keith Basely,
Clearwater, Fla.; Mrs. Vernon Morgan, Pennville, and Mrs. Marcell Trader,
Dunkirk, and one grandson.
