Hazel V. Brunson, Geneva resident, dies at Portland
Mrs. Hazel V.
Brunson, 75, of Geneva, widow of Murle Brunson, died at 7 p.m. Saturday at
the Jay county hospital, Portland.
She was a member of the Christian
Church at Pennville, and the Order of Eastern Star, Markle.
Born in
Jay county on May 22, 1898, she was the daughter of Edmond and Nancy
Lykins-Jones, and was married to Murle Brunson, who preceded her in death on
Nov. 6, 1964.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Helen) Ninde,
Bryant; Mrs. Forrest (Betty) Brubaker, Geneva; one son, James of Portland;
one sister, Mrs. Acie Champ, Portland; six grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday
at the Baird-Freeman funeral home, Portland, with Rev. Lester Taylor
officiating. Burial will be in the Gravel Hill cemetery, Bryant. Friends may
call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
