Rosalind Binegar age 79 of rural
Portland passed away Tuesday morning in IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
She was born April 9, 1939, the daughter of Burdell and Iva (Butcher)
Brotherton. She married Herbert Binegar on November 11, 1978, and he died
June 13, 1988. She was a cook at the Jay County Hospital and also worked at
Shellers and the Retirement Center. She attended the Bryant Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are two sons Bob Betz (wife Mary) of Somerset, KY
and Richard Brotherton (wife Michelle) of Colorado, six daughters Diane Lake
(husband Wayne) of Portland, Kathy Steen (Charlie Duff) of Brooklyn, MI,
Jean Ault (husband Melvin) of Pennville, Ann Lugar (husband Jim) of
Portland, Lisa Brown (husband Dave) of Portland and Ginger Newland of
Flagstaff, AZ, one sister Wanda Arnold (husband Jerry) of Bryant, two
brothers Wayne Brotherton (wife Mary) of Portland and Randy Brotherton (wife
Vickie) of Bryant, 19 Grandchildren and 29 Great grandchildren
Funeral services will be Thursday at 4:00 PM in the Bryant Wesleyan Church
with Pastor Paul VanCise presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill
Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the church.
Memorials can be made to Diabetes Foundation or Kidney Foundation.
