Ivan Bailey, 66, a shoe repairman in Geneva for many years,
died at 9:13 p.m. Thursday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. He had
been ill the past six months.
He attended the Geneva
Church of the Nazarene.
He was born on June 12, 1909, in
Bryant, the son of John and Estella Siberty-Bailey, and on June 30, 1951
married Teresa Flanagan in Bryant.
Survivors include the
wife, the mother; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Patricia) Williams, Bluffton,
and Mrs. Kenny (Diane) Fuller, Decatur; five sisters, Mrs. Sarah Markle,
Mrs. Kenneth (Iva) Graves and Mrs. Florence Richard, all of Portland; Mrs.
Betty Owen, Gas City; Mrs. Charles (Catherine) Mann, Decatur, and some
grandchildren. His father and three brothers preceded in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Geneva Church of the
Nazarene, with Rev. David Whitteberry and Rev. Harold Moeller officiating.
Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Bryant.
Friends may call at the Downing Funeral Home, Geneva, after 4 p.m. Saturday
and at the church one hour before the funeral service.
