Robert “Bob” Evertt Crandall, 57, of rural Berne, died at his home 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 1997. He was born April 24, 1939, in Adams County, Ind., to Harvey E. and Erma F. (Cook) Crandall. HE attended Jefferson Township High School and Married Wilma Jean Simon on July 24, 1959, at the old 1st Missionary Church, Berne.
Robert retired in 1993 from Micro-Precision/Textron, Inc., where he
worked as a machinist. He was also a foreman at CTS in Berne, as well as a
foreman at G.E. in Decatur. He was also owner of Crandall Trucking for
several years and a retired farmer. He was a member of the 1st Church of the
Nazarene in Berne. Surviving are his wife, Jean; a son, Rick Crandall of
Celina, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Marla) Collingsworth of Berne; and two
granddaughters, Raquel and Roxanne Crandall of Celina Ohio.
Preceding him
in death was a brother, Wayne Harvey Crandall who died at birth.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, 1997, at the 1st Church of the Nazarene, Berne. Rev. Paul C. Tubbs and Rev. Wilbur Taylor will officiate, and burial will be at the Daugherty Cemetery in Bryant, Ind.
