Philip M. Premer age 88, of Pennville passed away Thursday December 19,
2019 in IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in Jay County on
January 26, 1931 the son of Harold and Hazel (Spahr) Premer. He was married
on September 19, 1954 to Mary L. Stowell who survives.
He was a 1948
graduate of Gov. IP Gray High School, served with the US Army in the Korean
War and was a member of Halfway Lodge #298 F&AM.
Surviving are his
wife of 65 years Mary Lu, one son Mikel Premer of Pennville and one daughter
Debra Dixon (husband Donald) of St. Louis, Missouri, Several nieces and
nephews
Funeral services will be held Monday December 23, 2019 at
2:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Phillips
presiding. A masonic service will precede the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Burial will be in the Claycomb Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from
12:00 – 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Humane Society or
Salvation Army.
