Grace Finch, 77, dies at Dunkirk

Mrs. Grace Finch, 77, of Dunkirk, a former resident of Adams county, died at her home Saturday afternoon.

She was the widow of Glenn Finch of Dunkirk, who died in 1958.

Born in Adams county, June 12, 1897, she was the daughter of Mark Whiteman and Amanda Wilkey-Whiteman.

She is survived by nine children; two sons, Robert Lee Finch of Stockton, Calif., and Glenn (Bud) Finch of Portland; seven daughters, Mrs. Anabella Groves, Mrs. Frances Boggs, Mrs. Betty Edsall, Mrs. Emily McFarland, Mrs. Alice Hare, Mrs. Bonnie Brown and Mrs. Dixie Pitman, all of Dunkirk. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Jones Mortuary in Dunkirk, with Rev. Paul Eger officiating. Burial was in Center cemetery near Portland.
