Josephine Hiester, 63, former resident of Ridgeville and Portland,died
Monday night at 7:30 o'clock at the home of Mrs. J. C. Cromer of Fort Wayne.
She was the widow of the late Orla L. Hiester, who died March 29,1937.
Most of her life was spent in Ridgeville. Following the death of her
husband, she went to Portland to reside.
Mrs. Hiester was born Aug. 8,1879 in Naosho county, Kansas, daughter of Joseph and Nancy (Murry) Mitchell. She and Mr. Hiester were married Dec. 26,1906.
Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: George E. Mitchell and Mrs. Harriett Davis of Los Angeles,Cal., Mrs. Charles Davis of Winchester, John and Frank Mitchell of Ridgeville. One sister is deceased.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Baird chapel in Portland in charge of Rev. W. O. Power of Ridgeville, assisted by Rev. Beatty of Portland.
Burial will be in the Boundary cemetery. The body will remain at the Baird funeral home where friends may call.
