John T. Corle, 91, 171 Grand St., died Thursday in Portland Community
Care Center East.
Mr. Corle was born in Jay County. He retired from
the Jay Garment, Portland, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Jack Corle; a brother, Hascal Corle; two sisters,
Deta Gillespie (husband-James) and Mildred Kesler; five grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
His first
wife, Nina McFarland, died in 1959; his second wife, Ila Hunt Sorenson, died
in 1989. A daughter is also deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Baird-Freeman Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Boundary Cemetery.Calling will be noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
