1833 - 7/27/1893
Michael Lalley was born in Dublin, Ireland, but was brought to this
country when but a child by his parents who settled in Cincinnati. Shortly
afterwards, his father died of consumption and in course of time his mother
married again.
At Tranquility on December 10, 1857, he was united in
marriage with Eliza Williamson, who survives him. After marriage, they lived
for some years in Adams Co., ten miles from Tranquility and came from there
to Jay County in November of the year 1863.
His funeral was conducted
in the Lutheran Church by Revs. Stovenour and West and body laid to rest in
the Bloomfield Cemetery.
