Mattie E. Coblentz

   Mattie E. Coblentz, 72, 505 East 500 North, Portland, died Tuesday at her home.

   Born in Adams County on Oct. 8, 1932, to Daniel J. and Esther (Ebersol) Schwartz, she married Eli M. Coblentz on Feb. 14, 1957. He survives.

   She was a member of the Old Order Amish.

   Other survivors include three sons, Menno Coblentz, Danny Coblentz and Eli Coblentz, all of Portland; four daughters, Mrs. David (Esther) Hilty, Harned, Ky., Mrs. Jonas S. (Mary) Schwartz, Mrs. Jacob S. (Barbara) Schwartz and Mrs. Samuel (Mattie) Burkholder, all of Seymour, Mo.; two brothers, Aaron Schwartz, Geneva, and David Schwartz, Nappanee; four sisters, Mrs. Amos (Sarah) Eicher, Hudson, Ky., Mrs. Chris (Lizzie) Graber, Bryant, Mrs. Dan (Barbara) Hilty, Geneva, and Mrs. Detie (Leah) Schwartz, Seymour, Mo., and 49 grandchildren.

   Services are Friday at 9 a.m. at the Eli Coblentz residence. Burial will be in the Bearcreek Cemetery. Visitation is today and Thursday at the Coblentz home.

Baird-Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
