Charles F. Trobridge, 84, a former resident of Orchard Apartments in
Portland, died
Saturday afternoon in Miller's Merry Manor, Dunkirk.
Born in Jay County to Lee Roy and Mary (King) Trobridge on Aug. 27,
1918, he served
in World War II in the U.S. Army.
He was a
retired silo builder and worked for Walt's Greenhouse, Portland. He was also
a member of the Portland American Legion Post 211 and the V.F.W.
Surviving are one son, James "Dutch" Trobridge, Brandon, Miss.; one
brother, James
Trobridge, Marcelus, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles
(Mary) Keen, Portland, and Mrs.
Lee (Barbara) Paradine, Waterloo, Iowa;
two grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
Services are
Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer
Funeral Home with Pastor William Keen officiating. Burial will follow in
Antioch
Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
Military graveside
rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 211 of Portland.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to services at
the funeral home.
