Seymour Daily Tribune January 29, 2002 Bessie Pearl Smith Bessie Pearl Smith, 82, Medora, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour. Mrs. Smith was a member of Medora Christian Church and a homemaker. Born Nov. 10, 1919, in Sparksville, she was a daughter of George Washington Daulton and Lillie Bell Foster Daulton. She married James Casper Smith, who died in 1995. Survivors include a son, Terry C. Smith, Medora; five grandchildren, Valerie June Smith, Angela Denise Hemmingway, James Dean Smith, Whitney Nicole Smith and Kelcia Brianna Smith; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two brothers, Paul Gene Daulton, Edgemont, S.D., and Dick Daulton, Palmyra. She was preceded in death by four half brothers, Herman Flynn, Ivan Reynolds, Tim Reynolds and Hubert Reynolds; a grandson; a sister, Dovie Hamilton; and a half sister, Mary Reynolds. The Rev. Stan Thomas will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Medora Christian Church. Burial will be in Dixon Chapel Cemetery, Lawrence County. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
