Permilda Paris, one of our oldest citizens, was born near Paris, Ky., Sept. 13, 1829, died Jan. 11, 1913, aged 83 years, 3 months, 28 days. She moved with her family to Indiana in early life and was married to James H. Wineinger of Owen township. To this union were born eight children, three sons and five daughters, five of whom survive and were present at the funeral, Adam, James M., Mrs. Martha Hubbard, Mrs. Elizabeth Wayman of Medora, and Mrs. Mary Weddell of Bedford. After the death of her first husband she was married to Wm. (Murch) Harlow, who survives. To this union was born one son, who died in infancy. The deceased and her first husband were members of the Christian Church, later joining the Baptist Church. She clung to her faith in Christ till death. A short funeral service was held at the home. Rev. Mr. Jackson of the Holiness Church conducting the service, after which the remains were taken to the Heighton Hill cemetery for interment.
