Funeral of Aged Woman Held Sunday Afternoon.
The funeral services for the late Mrs. Cynthia Newman, aged 79 years who died at 3 o'clock Friday morning following several months' illness with general infirmities will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Wright Payne, East Fourth Street, the Rev. F.A. Hayward, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating.
Mrs. Newman was born in Whitley County, Tennessee in 1840. She came to this city in 1861. She is survived by one son, James Newman; four grand children, Mrs. Wright Payne, Mrs. Luella Chamber, William Newman of this city and Harry Newman, Cincinnati; and one sister, Mrs. Belle Wilhite of Michigan.
