Seymour Daily Tribune May 2, 2002 Freda McIntire Freda McIntire, 71, Seymour, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at Norton Suburban Hospital, Louisville, Ky. Mrs. McIntire worked as a tool and die maker for 30 years. She was a member of the National Humane Society and PETA. She moved to Jackson County in 1983. Born April 22, 1930, in Bunker, Mo., she was a daughter of Bill Black and Dorothy Riden Black, who both preceded her in death. On Dec. 30, 1966, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., she married Robert Leo McIntire Sr. and he died Feb. 27, 2000. She is survived by two sons, Robert Leo McIntire Jr. and Michael Beddoe, both of Seymour; a stepson, Joseph Allen McIntire, Seymour; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a stepson, Larry McIntire. The Rev. Dave Sawyer will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Jennings County Hospice or the donor’s choice.
