Amanda Lee McGinnis
Oct. 22, 1986 – July 1, 2006 
Amanda Lee McGinnis, 19, North Vernon, died at 2:14 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2006, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital, North Vernon.
Mrs. McGinnis was a devoted mother and homemaker. She loved to cook.
Born Oct. 22, 1986, at Brook Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, she was a daughter of Jerry R. and Traci L. Scifres Lucas, both of whom survive in Deputy. On June 1, 2004, she married James McGinnis in Jennings County, who survives.
Others survivors include two sons, Tyler James and Jacob Anthony McGinnis, both of North Vernon; one daughter, Brittany Nicole McGinnis, North Vernon; three sisters, Rachel Lucas, Kelley Lucas and Beth Lucas, all of Deputy; grandparents, Marvin and Kay Scifres, Crothersville, Patty Daugherty, Deputy; great-grandmothers, Betty Umpheres and Dorothy Lucas, both of Seymour.
The Rev. Bob Weeks will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Crothersville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the McGinnis Children’s Fund.
