Henry Marshall Marr
1923 - 2008 
Henry Marshall Marr, 85, Columbus, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Marr was a graduate of Purdue University and was a farmer. He was a member of First Christian Church and Columbus Elks Club.
Born Feb. 18, 1923, in Columbus, he was the son of Clyde M. and Cornelia Morris Marr, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Lucille Miller in 1944, who preceded him in death. Then he married Alyce Arthur, on Dec. 12, 1960, who preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 1992.
Survivors include daughters, Mikal M. (William) Urban, Marietta, Ga., and Alix Marr, Annapolis, Md; step-daughter, Susan D. Hess, Rockledge, Fla.; sister, Cynthia Marr, Sarasota, Fla.; brothers, John M. Marr, Tallahassee, Fla., and Clyde M. Marr Jr., Greensboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Jessica Marr Jenkins, Anniston, Ala., Christian Bruce Marr, Brownsburg, Abigail Marr, Washington, D.C., and James William Marr, Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce M. Marr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel, Columbus. Burial will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
