Seymour Tribune - June 4, 2007 Donald A. Jackson Jan. 18, 1955 – June 2, 2007 Donald A. Jackson, 52, Medora, died at 6 p.m. June 2, 2007, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mr. Jackson retired from Home Industries in Scottsburg. He enjoyed camping, metal detecting, history and genealogy and bird watching and was a coin collector. He also never went anywhere without his dog Abby. Born Jan. 18, 1955, in Seymour, he was a son of Charles Austin Jackson and Goldie Mae Brown Jackson, both of whom preceded him in death. On Aug. 9, 1986, in Clearspring, he married Marjorie Davidson Jackson, who survives in Medora. Other survivors include three children, Clinton Scott (Stephanie) Jackson, Medora, Sarah Jackson, Freetown, and Jessica Ann Jackson and her boyfriend, Dustin Humphrey, Vallonia; two brothers, Danny (Velma) Jackson, Clearspring, and Darrell (Candace) Jackson, Medora; a sister, Mary Jane (Gerald) Prewitt, Clearspring; two grandchildren, Sierra Nicole Jackson and Kaitlyn Brooke Jackson; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Lee Jackson, and four sisters, Evelyn Prey, Gracie Allen, Carol Jackson and an infant sister. Timothy Gill will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Schneck Medical Cancer Center.
