Seymour Daily Tribune April 1, 2002 Phyllis Elizabeth Richards Heath Phyllis Elizabeth Richards Heath, 76, Cross Plains, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour, of heart disease. Mrs. Heath was a graduate of Hayden High School. She was a laboratory technician at Memorial Hospital in Seymour and a newspaper correspondent for more than 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour, the Cross Plains Baptist Church and the ABW Missionary Circle of Cross Plains Baptist Church. She enjoyed handicrafts and decorating cakes, and taught Sunday school at First Baptist Church and Cross Plains Baptist Church for 22 years. Born Oct. 19, 1925, in North Vernon, she was a daughter of Robert Richards and Elizabeth (Kirkman) Richards, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 9, 1946 she married Howard Henderson and he preceded her in death April 17, 1975. On Aug. 27, 1977, she married Andrew Heath and he survives in Madison. She is also survived by a stepdaughter, Donna Sue Dean, Batesville; two stepsons, Jerry Heath, Versailles, and Michael Heath, Batesville; two sisters, Martha McIntire and Marita Douglas, both of Seymour; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded by a stepfather, John A. Short. The Rev. Pete Sinclair will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bovard Funeral Home, 319 S. Adams St., Versailles. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Garden, Madison. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
