TAPS SOUND FOR DAVID GOLDEN, CIVIL WAR VETERAN

Cortland Soldier Passes Away at Age of 76-Funeral Services Wednesday.

David Golden, 76 years of age, and a veteran of the civil war, died Monday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Aaron Jaynes, near Cortland. Mr. Golden was born July 8, 1840, in Washington county, Indiana. At the first call for volunteers he enlisted as a private in Company G. of the 18th regiment of Indiana volunteers, and served throughout the war.

Besides his daughter, Mr. Golden is survived by a brother, George Golden, of Salem. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon, with interment at Flemings.
